Otherwise, talk to us and your educator about your financial options.

STAP Subsidy

The Dutch government is doling out more than €200 million per annum for courses and training programmes not covered by regular student finance. Each qualifying Netherlands resident may apply for a subsidy of max. €1,000 per course. The catch: €200m is not nearly enough and not all educators are eligible.

Oversubscribed

It’s possible to apply for the subsidy on the 1st of every second month (1st March, 1st May, …). Typically, the allotment is gone within a few hours. And that leaves you with e.g. these options:

  1. Give up (don’t!)
  2. Try again 2 months later
  3. Finance your course

Affordable @ €16/Month?

A course costing €1,000 could be financed for as little as ca. €16 per month. It’s therefore fair to say that finance should not hold you back. Finance4Learning makes following that potentially life/career changing course affordable.

Eligible Courses

So now that you know money is not the problem, it’s time to find the course best suited to your needs.

It can be difficult to see the wood for the trees. After all, there are literally tens of thousands of courses offered with STAP subsidy. We have therefore compiled a database of STAP eligible courses for you.

Every Student Has These 3 Questions

When considering a career changing course, mature students typically have these 3 questions:

  • Am I able for this course?
  • What kind of job will I get upon graduation?
  • How can I afford this course?

Finance4Learning | For Students | Every Student Has These 3 Questions

Ability

Students nor educators are happy when a course is too difficult for the student. Sure, it could and probably should be a challenging course, but it must be doable.

Assessment procedures vary per educator, but all are aimed at making sure that you as a student get into the course that is right for you. If you’re successful, the school is successful.

Career

Even today, many educators still focus too much on the course itself. But you are not there for the course itself … but rather for the outcome thereof. What kind of job will I get? How long will it take me to find a job? How much will it pay? What are the career prospects? Etc.

You want to be as certain as possible, that following a particular course will lead to a well-paid and rewarding career path.

Affordability

At Finance4Learning, we help people realise their ambitions. We do that by making learning affordable. Please do reach out to us if you would like to know how we can help you finance the course(s) of your choice.

CareerTips

When hiring, employers typically assess 3 things:

  • Knowledge
  • Skills
  • Behaviour/Attitude

Did you know that ca. 85% of your professional success will depend on skills and attitude?

Knowledge Alone Won’t Do

For sure, you must acquire knowledge to get started in any role. But it doesn’t stop there. You’ll need to apply the  knowledge acquired to turn you into a skilled professional. However, to be truly successful, your boss, colleagues and subordinates have to see somebody whose behaviour/attitude is exemplary.

Only Human

We’re only human, so we can’t be expected to be perfect. But should we strive to get better all the time? Yes. And would it be good to always be learning? Absolutely.
